Booby mentioned to me recently that I had neglected an important piece of information in this post about how I'm his beard or he's my merkin, that being this quote:
"I think if I had it all to do over again, I'd learn to tap dance."

I kept reading lap dance, but I'm glad it wasn't that. I was having a hard time picturing him pole dancing, but tap dancing? Yeah, I can see it. (huh? not really. I'm only picturing that little smiley kid with the faux-hawk on So You Think You Can Dance.)

Apparently my husband has no comment.
I think the shoes are usually pretty normal looking, just regular black laceups made of soft leather for ease of movement. The difference is the little metal "taps" on the sole.
