Other cats are full of the Christmas spirit.

And will get lots of extra catnip in their stockings this year.

The middle one will be our Christmas card this year.

The third cat would probably have a heart attack if we tried to dress her as an elf or a reindeer - she has a low threshold for such tomfoolery and is extrememly skittish. Maybe the fact that we were messing with the other two freaked her out, because when I got upstairs to go to bed, I discovered that our duvet had been peed on. Fun!

Please note that my floor is that filthy looking because our tree has been dropping needles like a junkie on the run. No amount of water seems to make it happy. I welcome your suggestions.

GAH tuxedo cats are so cute. You have induced dopiness in me.

"our tree has been dropping needles like a junkie on the run"

Fabulous sentence, unfortunate problem.

I goog'ed this up:

I want to reach into the computer and pet your cats. They are so cute and soft-looking.

As for the tree problem, if I'm not mistaken, there is some commercially available product that you add to the tree water that makes it last longer. I have no idea, however, if it's pet-safe, or whether your cats are as fond of tree water as mine was. I also have no idea what this product might be called, if indeed it really exists. A call to the local hardware store may prove far more illuminating than listening to me.

Yes, Arabella, we got it at Lowes when we got our tree. Pete's, I think it's called. Comes in a small foil ziplock. I'm not 100% sure it's working but the tree seems to be dropping less needles now than it was when we put it up, so, allright.
Your pictures made me laugh out loud and now I want to put my Cindy Lou Who pigtails on my cat.

Such gorgeous cats!

As for the tree, I don't know if this works with trees (it does with flowers), but putting 7-Up in the water may help. Don't ask for explanation of why, Chemistry isn't my thing!

Did you dope the cat before you put the hat on? Or is your pet just that cool? I once tried to put a cape on my dog ((don't ask why)) and he spazzed himself right into the television, the wall, and the 3 foot candle stand.

That cat would have totally kicked Nicole's puny ass on America's Next Top Model. Talk about photogenic!

Found you on wordgirl's site. Love the kitty. We have three, first two and then one via a drive by that I was coerced into. Well I guess i was coerced into it all frankly.

I love our kitties - they guard and protect the house and bring home all sorts of wild game that we can feast on during the holidays.

We have a cute black and white one too.

Does it work for dogs? I'm about ready to wrap him in duct tape to stop the hair from falling off his body.

Oh my god I love your kitties so much! Have you seen Emily's similar attempts at feline holiday cheer?

Not nearly so successful.
